Main Info
Introduction:
This trek is a classic journey and the best in the whole Himalaya range with awesome views of the three highest 8000m mountain ranges; Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Manaslu, with arrays of 6000m plus snow-capped peaks.
The trek follows the river Marsyangdi all the way to its source at the glacial lake in Manang and beyond, through rural villages and terraced farm fields, from the sub-tropic climate to the arctic landscape and through the rain forest to the alpine woodlands.
This trail finally leads to Thorungla, on the highest point. From here the trail descends most of the way to Pokhara passing through the holy site of Muktinath. It follows the world’s deepest gorge, the Kali Gandaki River valley, and passes through charming village of Jomsom, ending with a short scenic flight to Pokhara.
