Introduction:
This trek is the most rewarding journey in the whole Himalayan region, with grand views of the three highest 8000m mountain ranges Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Mt. Manaslu, including arrays of 6000m snow-capped peaks. The trail follows the river Marsyangdi all the way to its source at the glacial lake in Manang and beyond. The walk passes through the rural villages and terraced farm fields from the sub-tropic climate to the arctic landscape, the rain forest and to the alpine woodlands.
We will lead you to the top of Thorungla the highest point on this trekking odyssey. From here the trail descends most of the way to Pokhara passing through the holy site of Muktinath. Muktinath’s holy water spring is one of the sources of the Kali Gandaki River as well. This grand trek follows the world’s deepest gorge, the Kali Gandaki River valley, and passes the charming villages of Jomsom, Marpha-Tukuche and Tatopani (hot spring) ending at Pokhara.
